SENIORS!

(Wow, its been a while since I used you, Blogspot. xD)

Here are some reminders I would like to give you before we perform. Please remember them:
  1. Do not be nervous. Be confident that we could win. Have you felt that feeling we got during our Saturday practice? Yung parang ang galing galing naten na the Juniors were looking at us na. THAT is confidence.:)
  2. The voice. Remember to always give off a BIG ROUND voice. Parang yung sa mga Taho Vendors. There are two ways to achieve this: a.)Gigil and b)Memorize the whole piece.
  3.  Ang nahihiyang maging pangit, PANGIT. GOT THAT?!
  4. Ang unang mag-recite, siya yung tama; The people who are left behind are the wrong ones.
  5. Always look/face the audience. NEVER stare at the floor, like we always do. (I am guilty of that, too xD)
  6. Always carry your body. That is always your default stance. Walang kuba, walang nakakembot, etc.
  7. This is also in the same lines as the 'nahihiya maging pangit, pangit' thing. Facial expressions, try to have them the whole duration of the performance. :)
  8. BIG ACTIONS! a) Dun sa 'larawan 3x'. Make your poses funny, but still believable. b) 'Sa di kalayuan naman' yung parang nababaliw na action.
  9. Diba pinalitan yung action sa 'Sa luntiang kaparangan', di na hands to waist. The new action is to step and lean forward, similar to 'Sa di kalayuan naman' action.
  10. Pag sasabihin na yung title, bagalan niyo para ma-flip pa ng mga nasa third line yung mga cards spelling KALIKASAN. Ganito: "Salamat (1 second) Kalikasan, ni Teresita M. Anastacio"
  11. This instruction is targeted at Derick mostly, but the others have some involvement too. After saying the title, diba you have one arm up? That is what you use to bow. So BOW MUNA BEFORE DRUMROLL.
  12. Put any bad blood aside, let us all work as one, okay? :]
  13. Lastly, give it your best. I know we could do it, Seniors. We can pull this off! :)
"GO SENIOOOOOOORS!" -GIAN :))

NOTE: May pre-show practice tayo at lunch ha. :>

More Paramore!

I've been scanning my collection of CDs from when I was young the other day (by young, I mean back when I was 13 years old), looking for an album to listen to because I was pretty tired of the music currently on my playlist. I stumbled upon the album All We Know Is Falling, the first one by Paramore, one of my favorite bands. This was the disc I decided to put into my dusty old CD player. Out blasted their signature punk-rock sound alongside Hayley William's amazing voice. I was half-shocked and half-amused to find out that I still knew the lyrics to their songs. From the first track All We Know Is Falling to Pressure to My Heart, I was singing my throat off with such mediocrity. Nostalgia took over me. I remember how I got to discover Paramore. I was watching TV and Myx was on, I saw a pretty little lady with fire-like hair and red lipstick. The video was that of Misery Business. I immediately forced my mom to buy me a copy of their album. As soon as I got the CD, I inserted it onto the car stereo system. I automatically loved all the songs. At the same time as being nostalfic, I was also slowly falling in love with their music again. Some time ago, I saw their video of Brick by Boring Brick, and I did not quite like it. It was the "..bury the castle..." line that turned me off. And since then I thought Paramore was going downhill. I didn't even go to their concert here in Manila, which I heard was awesome. I've never regretted not attending. Up until now. Now, I totally want to turn back time and buy tickets. It's too late, I guess. My only hope is for them to come here again. And that may be a long time from now. Sigh, the best thing to do is to download their newest album Brand New Eyes and see how much they've evolved since Riot. :)

I wanna rock and roll all night!

First of all, I'm sorry for not posting anything new these past couple of weeks. It's because I've been busy with stuff and didn't have much time to write. Anyway, guess what? I got a new electric guitar! Heck yeah! This baby could open up a lot of possibilities for me and make my life a lot more interesting. I'm so crazy about this guitar that I decided to name it. I mean her. She's Alexis Silva, born on the 1st of May 2010. LOL. Why Alexis? Simply 'coz I find the name sexy. Silver because her skin color's, well, Silver, and I sort of think that Silva is a cool name too. She's a curvy silver Les Paul-shaped electric guitar. Carrying her is a yellow strap that has a "Police Line, Do Not Cross" imprinted on it. Currently, I've made four covers namely Bad Reputation by Joan Jett, My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson, Bad Romance by Lady Gaga, and the first solo of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. You could check those out on Youtube, or Facebook. Well, what are you waiting for? Check it out. Now. LOL

It was...okay?

When one says summer, the first thing that comes to mind is spending all day at a beach somewhere far away from home. That's exactly what happened today, April 24 of this year's summer. Dad had an office outing to a beach somewhere in Batangas. He tagged Gab and I along as it was for free anyway. Like any other outing, we had to wake up super early, as in 3:30am early. We left the house at 4:30am, I think. It was a little ironic that my bro brought more stuff than I did. I only needed the PSP, swim wear, sun block and food. Yes, I didn't bring a camera. You may be thinking what a wasted opportunity this was not to take pictures of the beach. It was. And my mom is to blame for that. She was being a paranoid again with the out-of-this-world worries. Anyway, we rode a rented bus to the resort. The inside was freezing cold. And since my dad told me that it was not a good idea to bring a jacket, or even wear shoes, I didn't. Which resulted to my precious feet get chilled to subzero temperature. 3 hours-ish later, we arrived at our destination, a resort named Laiya blah blah. I don't remember the whole name. LOL. I got to the water as soon as I could. Unfortunately, the beach felt weird. The sand wasn't fine, and there's a line where the ground just turns into very soft mud. Plus, there were minimal waves. Long story short, this beach sucked ass. I like the beachside pool better. (It was conveniently hot. I wish that was because of the sun's heat, and not the other factor........) Depending on where my bro wanted to go, I switched from pool to beach, beach to pool. I was his only guardian, after all. Dad was with the other Insular Life employees, having fun. It was their outing, after all. Being Gab's care taker, I had to release my toy loving child inside of me. My lil bro had brought a lot of toys, mostly military stuff. He tried to recreate what he saw in an episode of The Pacific, which I thought was cool, and cute at the same time. haha. Fast forward to 4:00pm when we had to get prepped up for merienda and the trip back home. By this time, I had a lot of sand on where man does not like sand on. We ate a plate of Spaghetti for snack time and then boarded Bus #6 again. It took longer going home because of traffic. Then... I got home... I can't say if this was a great day or not. All I can say is that this was no bore for sure. :)

Bohemian Rhapsody by QUEEN

Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy (Poor boy)
I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
Little high, little low
Any way the wind blows
Doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooh
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye, ev'rybody
I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooh (Anywhere the wind blows)
I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening
(Galileo) Galileo (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro
Magnifico
I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Sparing his life from this monstrosity
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go
Let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Let me go (Will not let you go)
Let me go (Will not let you go (Never, never, never, never))
Let me go, o, o, o, o
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
(Oh mama mia, mama mia) Mama Mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here

Nothing really matters, anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me

Any way the wind blows

Man, I love this song. Probably the best song ever written. If you haven't heard it yet, please do. :)

We are LIVE!!!!!!

Today I felt like I wanted to achieve something. And one of the best ways to feel like you've achieved something is to be honored with a trophy. As hard as that may sound, getting trophies is just a piece of cake for me. All I need to do is to turn on the television. I'm serious. Achieving PlayStation trophies, that is. HAHA. Thought I was a bit too cocky there weren't you?

Okay, getting them ain't as easy as I described. There are some missions that are hard, and some that are as easy as reaching a certain level of the game. I decided to go for UFC '09 trophies today, and got a lot. But one of those trophies took a lot of effort, the one where I have to beat an opponent in less than 20 seconds. That's easier said than done. I couldn't do it alone so I asked for Steven's help. We used the strongest fighters out there, like Rampage, Anderson, Rashad. We even picked the weakest opponents but still no luck. Thankfully, we got the "That was easy!" trophy after 30+ tries with GSP's high kick. Heck yeah! Another summer memory. :)

glee!

I saw Glee last night on its 10pm time slot on ETC, and was blown away as usual. Everything I loved from the first season is still there. Nothing much has changed, except parts the storyline of course. Rachel is still naive, Finn still absent-minded, Will still..err..Will(?), Emma still weird, and of course, Sue is just as annoying as she was last season. Maybe even more. Uh oh. But I still am disappointed on not seeing Quinn so much. Oh well. I can't wait to see more of this show. :D

On the Silva-Maia fight...

All month I've been waiting for this fight to happen. There were other great match-ups in the card too but finally seeing THE Anderson Silva in action just made me jump for joy. This guy has an unorthodox but effective style, he has an incredible amount of talent, and undoubtedly one of the best in the business. He did a lot of great things inside the octagon, and he's the type of fighter that makes your jaw drop when you see him do his thing.

But tonight he was just plain boring, and I have to admit it, he sucked.A little recap of the match: During the first two rounds, Silva showcased the skills that we all knew and loved. I laughed so hard when he started doing the dance on his opponent. And on the 2nd round, Silva went overboard with the showboating by taunting Maia disrespectfully. It was as if Silva was frustrated that Maia wasn't putting up a good fight. Then come the 3rd round, the fight turned incredibly lame and boring. Silva was just running away and avoiding contact, with occasional jabs to Maia. Now, its looked like Maia was the one getting frustrated. Silva sticked to this game plan so much that on the last minute of the fight, the referee demanded some action from Silva or else. But Silva didn't listen. And it all was left in the hands of the judges, who not surprisingly decided Silva to be the winner.

This made a lot of people angry and disappointed. They complained about not getting their money's worth,  which was about $40, I think.  Even the president of the UFC himself, Dana White had his share a complaints. He called this an embarrassment to the UFC and the sport all in all. Silva could've finished the match on the 1st or 2nd round is what everyone said. I, too, am disappointed by this incident. I hope this doesn't happen ever again. And to Silva, you just lost a fan.

How NOT to get bored this summer

Ladies and gentlemen, the apocalypse is upon us! Yes, you heard me right, a volatile force is threatening our very existence. "Well, what the hell is this force? Are you crazy?" I heard you ask. People, this evil that I am talking about is lurking behind our backs, surreptitiously claiming multiple victims day by day. Yup, I am talking about this things we call boredom. It is my duty to teach you how to combat this monstrosity before we fall victim to it's hypnotizing gaze, and turn we into a brain-dead society, whose only means of communicating is by uttering the words "I'm bored" all day.

Nah, I was just messing with you with the apocalypse things LOL. But I really think boredom is a bad thing for us, especially now that it's summer time. Everyone of us has the right to live these days of no school to the fullest. How? Think out of the box. Take Phineas and Ferb for example. They spend everyday of their summer doing something. I bet they don't even know what boredom means. Instead of easily declaring your boredom, follow their "I know what we're gonna do today" attitude. You may not be able to build a roller coaster or paint a continent, but they're cartoons. Go easy on yourself. Instead, why don't you start learning how to play the guitar? play an online game? draw? talk to someone you don't usually talk to? Try every activity you can think of and who knows, you might discover a new talent/hobby. If all else fails, why not visit you friend's house far away from there by walking? It's worth a try. Just bring money in case you get too exhausted.

Well, these are my tips. Just remember, you must always tell yourself " I have to do something". Another thing, remember that the sky is the limit. Be creative. Okay, bye now. I don't know about you, but I'm playing this online game, Neosteam now. :D

Swooooooosh

As you can see from the title, I have no idea what to write today. I had no idea what to write the whole freakin' week. It was so frustrating knowing that your blog is building up dust. But now that I'm doing this, might as well see what I've got.
Hmm, maybe I'll write about today. *looks back at today's events...* I woke up at 4am because of this noise, it turned out my Mom was using the PC. At 4am. Usually, We're the ones (Gab and I) getting up early just for the computer. Seeing my Mom do this, I was quite disturbed. She wasn't in it for business or emergency, she was just there Facebook-ing away. A big WTH. My mom continued to use this PC up to 6pm, with a few occurrences where it was Gab and Dad's turn. Not wanting to disappoint anyone I decided to do something else. I tried drawing, (I got frustrated 'cause I didn't draw as I'd expected) texting, (I eventually ran out of load), playing my PS2, (Didn't go my way too. I had nothing to play. I tried to play Max Payne 2 but died shortly, and respawning right from the very beginning of the game, as I forgot to save from checkpoint to checkpoint) play the guitar, (Note that both my guitars are broken) listening to the radio (It didn't last long. There was nothing good on air) and finally, I watched TV. This is where I stayed long, because of the Ultimate Fighter marathon on the Balls channel. I spent my whole afternoon lying down the couch and watching men trash talk each other.
Then came the darkness, my parents went to SM with Gab for groceries. I decided to stay home and write this post. Ta-da! :D

Ughhhhh....

I can't think of anything to write as of now... :(

All because my mom didn't make me use the internet...

You know those days during summer when you have absolutely NOTHING to do? Well, this was my type of day this March 28 of 2010. I was stuck here inside my house lying down and without anything to do. Mom was using the PC all day, Gab - the ps3, dad - the DVD player. I tried watching TV but after UFC 111, (Go George St.Pierre! :D. Haha.) there was nothing good to see. I’ve already watched this crap about 2012 and Hitler. My PSP happened to be with Nicole ‘cause she borrowed it. Both guitars I owned were broken. This day was shaping up to be a very, very boring one.
But I felt the urge not to give in to the wrath of Boredom, so I decided to spend my day like how Phineas and Ferb does. Do something epic. No, I didn’t build a roller coaster or paint a continent. Instead, I biked. Sounds weak, eh? I biked the whole distance from my house (Parkview Homes, Sun Valley) to Jed’s house. That’s pretty small if you compare it to Phineas and Ferb’s activities, but then again, they are CARTOONS. LOL. Anyway, I spent the whole day there doing pointless stuff, like biking with no hands, or almost become dog food, or watch Hitler parodies, or just plain house-hopping. All because mom didn’t make me log onto Tumblr. :))

You've changed, Spongebob..

Dear Spongebob,
Hey, how are you, buddy? It’s been a long time since I last wrote to you.. That was when I was begging you to make even just one movie. Thankfully, I got my wish. I liked your movie so much. I watched it over and over again till I memorized your lines. And, I watched it MONTHS before it was shown here in the Philippines. (My tito gave me a pirated copy >:] )
There’s no doubt that I was a very loyal Spongebob fan back then. I loved everything about you: your not-just-for-kids humor, your sarcasm, the way you constantly violate nature’s laws, your unintentional cuteness, and a lot more. You were my favorite cartoon.
But this is where my letter would get a bit sour. Everything I mentioned above aren’t present anymore. (Except for the violating nature blah blah) Starting from Season 3, (I think?) you’ve changed. You’re voice sounds weirder than before. (Puberty?) Your best friend, Patrick grew a new tooth. Together with your shiny eyeballs, you desperately attempt to be ‘cute’ at times. Color-wise the show looks a lot better, feeling a bit modern. Your dialogue with other characters, dude, it sucks. You’ve suddenly expanded your vocabulary a lot. Most of your punch lines are pretty lame. (Although, there are a few I still laugh at) Sometimes, I just feel that you’re struggling to match the standards you’ve set in your glory days, which right now is going no where.
I’m not a hater. I hope you don’t consider me one. I’m just a fan asking for the old you. Seriously, right now the  show feels like it’s waiting to be cancelled. So sorry, Spongebob, if I offended you. Just keepin’ it real.
Aren't the old ones cuter?

raffy :D

The Mist review

I can’t believe I just watched The Mist now. I’ve encountered it multiple times in the past but always ignored it for reasons I don’t remember. I know that this film is based on a novella by Stephen King, an award-winning horror writer. Keeping this in mind, the film is sure to be a hit. And it truly is. From start to finish, The Mist is consistently gonna bring you exciting thrills and heart-breaking twists.

The story tells the story of normal people stranded in a convenience store, where they’re safe from the perils of some breed of creatures from another dimension. Yup, this is a monster film. But what really stands out in this movie is not how they battle the insect-like creatures, but how they battle each other. Conflicts between the people inside the store really heightens the tension present in every scene. This is where Mrs. Carmody comes in. She’s some crazy ass middle aged woman who won’t stop preaching God’s words to the people. This is okay, I guess. But when you proclaim yourself as God’s Vessel then that’s just plain annoying. All throughout the film, I wanted to strangle her senselessly… Maybe I’m too violent,  OR that’s how bitchy she really is. LOL. Anyway, it’s how the movie plays with your emotions that makes it great. Plus, the really wicked ending. So I really recommend you to watch this thing if you haven’t yet. If you have, better watch it again, for fun. Oh, and it's interesting to see what becomes of Mrs. Carmody in the end.

We're Next In Line

Yesterday I attended the seniors' graduation, which I was part of. The long ceremony started with a mass hosted by Fr.Mike, and another priest whom I've encountered before. (He was the priest when we heard mass last month during the BSP overnight camping activity.) That means I didn't react much when he finally talked. You see, he has a bit of an accent (which he says he got from Australia). That's subject to a lot of chuckles and people looking at their seatmates. Some seniors chuckled a bit, but in a while they were able to control their urge to laugh. (Thank god for SHS's teachings. LOL) Anyway, this mass continued for an hour or so. Then came the actual graduation program. They started giving away the diplomas, which took quite a while thanks to a certain someone who hogged up almost all the awards. (If ever you're reading this Guiller, congrats dude, you're my new idol na. You received more medals last night than I did my whole life. haha.) Then it was time for me to go on-stage for an award. This award for being a model student made my parents so proud, as this was my first time to go up on-stage to receive one of these. Then, after the giving of diplomas, awards, and a speech from some fashionista alumna of SHS, the Seniors gave us a rendition of the songs Next In Line, Wonderful Journey, and for the last time ever, the Sacred Heart School hymn. Of course, this was a very emotional moment for everyone, including me, because I know that we are the next batch of graduates. Next year, we're gonna be the ones singing the school hymn for the last time. So I said to myself that I should make the most out of school year 2010-2011. Better not waste time. :)

This is gonna be us next year.

I can't believe the Seniors are going to graduate tomorrow. I'm gonna miss them.

Can't wait!

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves review

I've been waiting to play this game for a while now, because of all the hype around it, but I didn't have enough money to buy one. Luckily, Chester had just recently bought a copy. I waited about a week till he finished the game, then I borrowed it at once. I have played the first game and liked it a lot. I really thought its visuals and story were over the top. Saying this, I confidently state that this installment is 100 times better. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, everything looks so lively and real. From the lush jungles of Borneo, to the terrorized streets of fictional Nepal, to the blue, icy mountains of the Himalayas, this game makes you feel like you're in a living, breathing world. Also, something else about the graphics I should mention is the Focal and Motion blurs. The Focal blur works by focusing only on the object/character you're aiming at. (Everything else is blurred out) The motion blur is often considered as an annoying occurence, bur in video games this is one feature that makes a character's movements so realistic. Next, The controls feel right for the Dualshock controller. The slight delay when moving Nate perfectly coordinates with the looseness of the analog sticks.  Next, The gameplay is better than ever with all the mechanics from the first game, added with additional moves, like shooting while hanging off a ledge, or run-and-gunning.. Also, more weapons have been added like a Tranquilizer gun, or Pistols that shoot Shotgun shells. Could you believe that?! Next, the game's rewarding system is pretty satisfying. Like the first game, Uncharted 2 has an in-game list of achievements that one can fullfill if he wants, asides the Trophy set included in the game. Each achievement you fulfill gives you a corresponding number of points, which can be then spent on unlockables such as weapons, concept art, videos, and tweaks. (My personal fave tweak is the One Shot Kill tweak. Hehe.) Out of all these features, one stands out the most, and that is its story. Uncharted 2's story is a well-written roller coaster ride, complete with incredible voice-acting and character development. The scenes from the game looks and feels like it was cut from an A-list movie. The main character, Nathan Drake, is the funniest and most human video game character ever. Even in times of peril, he still manages to squeeze in a tiny piece of humor. This is what makes Uncharted 2 not video game-ish. *SPOILER ALERT* There's one instance in the game where Nate is hanging for dear life on the edge of a cliff but he still manages to talk to himself "Sure, Nate, save the chick, be a hero", showing his regret. *SPOILER ENDS HERE* This 'talking while playing the actual game' removes the word cut scenes from Uncharted 2's vocabulary. Because the whole game is a cut scene. Characters often comment on what you do, even react when something happens in the environment. Now the voice acting is over with, I'm gonna tell you how great the story was. *SPOILER ALERT*   The game narrates the adventures of Nathan Drake, a world-class treasure hunter, and his quest to stop a terrorist leader bent on world domination. The twist is, he has to acquire a special stone that turns someone immortal. (It's not a stone actually, you'll find out as you advance in the game) *SPOILER ENDS HERE* This may sound like 'just another treasure hunter saves the world' but believe me, it is more than that. So much more. And the way the game brings you to different parts of the globe makes it an even better experience. Now, its is time for complaints. Hmm, now that I mentioned that... I don't have much complaints for this game. Maybe the unrealistic jumping of Nate, or the unrealistic flashlight, but seriously these complaints are just for realism whores who are always mad at the whole world. I really can't think of any flaws right now. Maybe I'm gonna think of one (hopefully). Until then, I consider this game absolutely perfect. If you own a PS3 and don't have this game, buy UC2:Among Thieves now! If you're looking for a reason to buy a PS3, your search has ended.

MY SCORE: 5 out of 5 Game of the Decade!

*I haven't included multiplayer reactions, 'cause I haven't tried it yet*
A joke I came across today:
"A guy was setting up his new e-mail account when his girlfriend sat beside him. Feeling macho, he typed 'PENIS" as his password. The girlfriend fell off her chair laughing when the error message appeared: "Password not long enough" "

LMAO! Props to Pierre for this joke. :D

March Twenty-Tree :>

Today I woke up 11 in the morning. "It really is summer already" I thought to myself. Of course, like any other teen in the summer, the first thing I did was turn on the computer and go online on Facebook. Some 30 mins of surfing the net later, Steven suddenly showed up by the doorway of my room. I then remembered that the two of us were supposed to go to Multinational Village today. I rushed to the bathroom downstairs and took a bath. About ten minutes later I was ready to go. "Come on" I told Steven, who was staring at the TV playing Uncharted 2 on my PS3. "Oh. Uhm. I think I have other plans today... Think I'll be going to....Bonjour (?), you know, the one beside Sinangag Express..." he replied. There was a slight moment of silence, I bet you know why. I replied with an Okay and took off with my bike. After an exhausting, sweaty trip from Parkview Homes, Sun Valley to Matthew St., Multinational Village, I finally arrived in front of Jed's house and he rightfully invited me into his house. I didn't go there just to see him. I asked him if he could accompany me to go to someone's house. Thankfully he did. On the way, I was fearing Jed might get involved in some car accident as he was biking with no hands, while playing my PSP, and with very loud headphones over his ears. This was when we were on a road full of vehicles. (Yes, I agree, this guy's crazy...) We arrived at our destination, in Sherwood Heights, in one piece. Immediately I texted her that we were already there. She replied saying the tires on her bike were flat, so she had to go on foot. Moments later, she showed up wearing her Siglakas t-shirt. She borrowed Jaime's bike and went to our next destination, Teheran, at the open lot beside Mark's house. There I planned on climbing the tree that stands there with her. At first, she was hesitant. I had to stop her first attempt because she was climbing with her knees, not her feet. I didn't want to see wounds on her legs, you see. lol. I told her to try climbing with her feet. The next attempts were close, but still unsuccessful. But she never gave up and I gave my share of encouraging words and eventually she got to the top. I went up the tree too with minimal trouble. We talked there for a while, meanwhile Jaime and Mark were talking about Persona 4 and singing along to the music on my PSP. Speaking of Mark, there was this moment a while ago, where he said things like "Di kayo tatagal" and "K*****,  Raffy's gonna break your heart din some day." This pissed me off so much that I decided to get out of that place. What he said will never come true. We walked the whole trip going to her home, 'cause Jaime had to go home and dress up for it was his sister's graduation today. As we walked by the road, I saw a man in one jeep, he gave us this smile. I asked her if she knew this guy. She told me it might've been her bigger bro's friend. She's dead if this is true, 'cause she never asked permission to go out of the house. (She was the only one home) Fingers crossed that the guy wasn't one of her kuya's friends. Or her mom doesn't read this post. LOL.

MARCH 22, 2010 - Bass, bass, bass!

Today I got a hold of Steven's brand new bass guitar. A cherry red Fernando Stratocaster, I think. It cost him P19,000. (This was pretty amazing of him 'cause he produced that amount within only 3 days. That just shows you how rich Steven is. Haha.) It was packaged with a guitar strap, a tuner, and an 15 watt amplifier. Playing it was a treat as it was my first ever time to play the bass. The first thing I noticed was the weight of this instrument, then its size. It's definitely larger than an ordinary guitar. Eager to learn my first bass song, I searched the bass tab for 21 Guns by Green Day. (Whew, saying bass is tiring…) Lucky for me, the song was undeniably easy to play. I just applied my knowledge of reading tabs and put my hand-eye coordination to the test. A few minutes in and I found myself nodding my head to the beat of the bass. Something didn't sound right, though, literally. The guitar was out of tune. We put out the included tuner and attempted to tune the bass guitar. The first string was okay. The second one needed a little tightening. Then the A string. The bloody A string. It took us minutes if not hours to TRY to tune it, but frustratingly we couldn't so we gave up. The last and thickest string was also a bit of a struggle. Eventually, we were able to make it sound correctly. Both of us managed to learn some songs (I Can Wait Forever, and Mr. Brightside to name a few) but there was this feeling of incompleteness. That one string that wasn't correctly tuned made the song sound bad. I just told Steven to let some professional tune it one day. At around 4PM we had unplanned visitors crash Steven's place. Namely Kim Roxas, and Vernice Domingo. They spent most of the time in the other room where there was air-conditioning. They took pictures of Steven's 'uncensored' baby pictures. LOL. (As seen in this link here Steven exposed!  ) The two also managed to acquire new shirts from Steven's cabinet. Afterwards, the two went home. I did as well, after half an hour of playing the bass.

BEHOLD Steven Villegas!

Third Year Saint Aloysius 2009 -2010 :)

I'm gonna miss you!

March 20, 2010 - FAREWELL :(

Today was the last day of school, or as we call it in SHS, Farewell Party. In the first hours of the day, we stayed at the school gym to watch as the schools Spirit Queen was crowned. It was Ira Dacumos who took the honor of wearing it. Also, the seniors brought home the 2010 Spirit Cup. (Congratulations to them. :] ). We, the Juniors, took 2nd place both in the Queen and Cup contests (Speaking of, I thought Ruby, the Junior's Spirit princess, looked very cute on stage. Haha. Take a look at the picture below).. Afterwards, we went upstairs to our classroom. The music from Cedric's iPod boomed throughout the room and started the party. In the span of the event, we played games, ate, took pictures, danced, received awards, and had the time of our lives. Before the program ended, Ms.Muñoz requested us to sit on our chairs for the very last time. And then she said an emotional speech that touched us all. I don't know if the others were the same, but I felt like crying. Sigh. I am gonna miss all you guys! Not just 3C people, but also all my other schoolmates. Thank you for making my school year 2009-2010 my best school year ever. Even the teachers, I salute you all. Till next school year. :D

Procrastination = Pain in the Ass

Dear Procrastination,

How are you? I bet your fine. Me? Oh, you know, same old same old, still a victim of your unfair tactics. I was suppose to study for the last day of the exams 10 hours ago. And then you showed up with your irrestistible aura. You persuaded me to turn on the PC and check my Facebook account. I believed you, so I logged in my Facebook account. When the checking was done, you told me to check You Tube for IGN's Daily Fix to get myself updated on all stuff gaming. I foolishly followed you again. Then I realized how you were fooling me and did the right thing and shut off the PC. To my surprise, I have already wasted 2 hours of my precious studying time. I got so mad at you that I was not in the mood for studying at the moment. I sat on the bed, then you gently pushed me backward, till I lay flat on my back. Next thing I know, I woke up in the evening. And then you showed me my shiny blue guitar.. I was not yet fully conscious at the time so I picked it up and played every song i knew how to play. Again, I wasted another 2 hours. Suddenly, I felt this urge to listen to music, maybe coz you secretly whispered it to my ear. I turned on my PSP, listened to my fave tracks, and played some games in the process. Damn. Wasted another hour. By this time, it was already 10pm, I think. My dad has just stopped using the PC. You tempted me to use it, yet again. This time you told me to create a blog. Which I did. And now, and hour and a half later, I realize that writing this post took me, uh, 30 minutes. I felt like such a big dumbass.

Damn, thanks for ruining my grade for finals, man...

Raffy >:(

Hey there.

Hey!

Just created this blog for fun. I'll be posting more stuff soon, 'cause as of now it's our exams. LOL.

(Nice, I finally put our Computer class' lessons about HTML to good use)
